One Size Diapers from Day 1- CD Beginnings

Starting out on a journey to set up your cloth diapering system can be a bit confusing when you run into terms and descriptions you don't understand.

Today I am going to help you shed some light on what is generally the best and most-used cloth diaper option for over 90% of families using reusable diapers.

I just want to take a minute and give you some insight that is going to save you a lot of headache.

Did you know over 70% of moms we polled said the number 1 reason they chose cloth diapers was to save money for their family. What's not to love? You never have to buy diapers, and the extra load of laundry here and there is not a big deal, seriously.

The majority said one-size pocket diapers (diapers you can adjust as baby grows- more on that in a bit) were their cloth diaper of choice when they began purchasing.

Here's the problem, most brands claim to fit from birth, but the fact is, very few actually do. And not being able to use your money-saving cloth diapers for the first 3 months (the time when your baby goes through the MOST diaper per day) can force some parents to hastily buy disposables- I mean you need something that fits right? But, how counter productive is that. Some parents even end up sticking with throw-away diapers and never switch to cloth as they planned.

Here's some good news: you can literally use cloth diapers from day one when you choose Easy Peasies.

Check it out ladies & gents, a one-size pocket diaper you can actually use from birth! Yay! We're talking about THE most economical, customizable option, and the top choice by cloth diapering parents in Canada. You don't need to buy disposables for the first 3 months of your baby's life, and not wasting money on disposable diapers allows you to start saving for the things you'd rather spend your money on, from day 1. The proof is in the pudding my friends. (Adorable photo submitted by a lovely customer and used here with permission of course) This baby is 7lbs.

Need more information? Here are some brief descriptions of terms you will see our our website.

One Size: Diapers that adjust to fit your baby as they grow. Here's how they work: Snaps on the front for the diaper (rise snaps) allow you to make the diaper as tall or as short as you need. The top row are male snaps and the bottom 3 are female snaps, so you have a total of 4 levels of sizing. The snaps across the tummy and the ones on the wings of the diaper allow you to put the diaper as tight or as loose on the baby's tummy as you need to go.

Pocket Diapers: Diapers that have a pocket where absorbency is held. You can stuff them with just about anything absorbent, here's what they look like on the inside.

All in One Diapers: These diapers are a bit less customizable but A1 when it comes to convenience. They're the diapers that are most like disposables. Daycares, and grandparents who wonder why in the world we modern parents would want to go back to cloth, love them. They come out of the dryer ready to go on the baby. You can snap in more absorbency if you need to, we've got an insert for that!

Inserts: The heart of the diaper really. The inserts give you as little or as much absorbency as you put in them. Common materials are; cotton, microfiber (synthetic), bamboo, and hemp. We don't produce microfiber inserts anymore. The simple reason being, it holds odors, it causes leaks, and its not safe to wear next to baby's skin. Want to learn even more about inserts?
